Labradorite is said to have its beautiful reflective qualities due to the Aurora Borealis being trapped within the rock before it was set free. The rocks that weren’t rid of their beautiful shine and reflection, being Labradorite, are said to still contain pieces of the Northern Lights.
Labradorite, though popular throughout history, was first officially discovered and named due to its geographic location, Labrador, Newfoundland, Canada. But Canada isn’t the only place this stunning stone is found. It can also be found in Finland, Russia, and Madagascar.

It has historically been used to heal one’s lungs, as well as protect one’s emotional and spiritual wellbeing. One can wear it or just simply have décor around the house to bring that calm.

This listing is for the stone pendant shown in the images and does not include a chain, though we will have some available. It is an AAA quality piece of African labradorite that is fitted with a 925 Sterling Silver Bail/Claw. Please, please, please do not use a chain that is harder than sterling silver (such as stainless steel or zinc/aluminum/copper alloys) as it will damage the chain and possible lead to the loss of the pendant.
